Workshops (Schedule Below)
If you can't invest in a 1-on-1 Lesson but you're still interested in the topics we teach, one of our group workshops may be for you. We typically partner with the Kalamazoo Nature Center, the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, Michigan Audubon, or other local Groups/Organizations to offer workshops on topics including learning your camera, beginning & intermediate bird & flower techniques, etc. These workshops typically are groups of 8 participants or less so every participant gets some 1-on-1 time. While there isn't as much personal time as the 1-on-1 Lessons offer, a workshop is a more economical way to learn. Typically, these workshops cost between $35 & $100 per person depending on the workshop. The goal is to learn and practice a few techniques during the workshop with your own gear to quickly improve your photography without buying anything.
When: Saturday, June 2nd, 11:30am-3:30pm Where: Otis Sanctuary (begins at barn) Price: $75 per person (please click HERE to register) Audience: Adults (limited to 8) Recommended Equipment: SLR Camera (digital or film), medium telephoto lens (100-300mm), macro lens if you already own one
Join Josh for a 1-day Butterfly & Macro Photography Workshop centered around getting up close and personal to nature! Techniques and time in the field photographing butterflies and finding macro opportunities will be the focus with an emphasis on better composition and tweaking exposure properly for cleaner results.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, June 2nd from 11:30am-3:30pm. Cost to participate is $75 per person. A limited group of 8 participants is the maximum to ensure ample 1-on-1 time and a comfortable/quality shooting environment for each participant. Given the limited space, sign up today!!!

"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the great waterfowl class. It was a lot of fun and very informative. You are always so well prepared for the classes you teach and very generous with your time and equipment. Your enthusiasm for photography and your birding experience make your classes very rewarding."
